Corn Palace Stampede Rodeo (July)

Mitchell, South Dakota, every year since 1971, the
Corn Palace Stampede Rodeo has served
as a cultural icon in the state by blending traditional rodeo events
with facets of contemporary life.
Independence Day

Dakotafest (August)
Dakotafest features over 400 agriculture-related demonstrations, this 3-day farm
show is the biggest held in South Dakota.

Miller Lite Bull Bash is held during
Dakotafest
week. Enjoy an evening watching snorting bulls and
daredevil bullriders.
Corn Palace Festival (August)
The
Corn Palace Festival has been a tradition since 1892. It features a
carnival and several top-name concerts.
Polka Festival (September)
If you like to polka, you'll love the 3-day Polka
Festival. People come from all over the United States
and beyond to this annual event.

Parade of
Lights (November)
Enjoy a magical
evening on Mitchell's Main Street with all parade entrants adorned in
sparkling Christmas lights. Bring your wish list to share with Santa,
Mrs. Claus and the elves. Following the parade, listen to heart-warming
music while enjoying delectable refreshments at the Corn Palace
Pheasant
Country Ltd., Banquet (October)
It's the fun kickoff for the pheasant
hunting season where hunting enthusiasts meet for dinner, raffles,
auction and entertainment. This fundraising banquet is held at the
World's Only Corn Palace.
