This page will give you information on how to recycle and
should also help to answer some
frequently asked questions
ALUMINUM AND STEEL CANS
Aluminum and steel food and beverage containers
should be empty and rinse all containers thoroughly, Please remove all
paper labels.
PLASTIC BOTTLES AND CONTAINERS
#1 and #2 Clear and colored household plastic
containers that can be purchased in a grocery store with screw on lids.
These containers should be empty and rinse all containers thoroughly,
Labels do not need to be removed. Remove all caps and trigger sprays
and place in trash. You may flatten plastic to save space in your
recycling bin.
Unacceptable: Anti-freeze, Fertilizer, Chemical or
Oil Containers, Ice Cream, Butter and Yogurt containers.
GLASS (CLEAR AND BROWN)
Acceptable: Any glass container containing food
or beverage.
Unacceptable: Light bulbs, Mirrors, Dishes, Perfume and Aftershave
bottles, Drinking glasses.
These items should be rinsed and drained thoroughly, Labels do not need
to be removed, Remove caps or lids. Please do not break glass.
The items below need to be placed
in separate grocery sacks
NEWSPAPERS
Newsprint, Coupons, Glossy Inserts, Flyers.
Please place these items a grocery bag preferably paper, and place on
top of our other recyclables.
MAGAZINES, OFFICE PAPER, PHONE BOOKS, JUNK MAIL
Place your magazines, catalogs, office paper, and
phone books in a grocery bag preferably paper, and place net to your
newspaper on top of your other recyclables.
All cardboard must be bundled
separately
CORRUGATED CARDBOARD
Remove all contents from boxes, flatten and tie
in bundles no larger than 3 foot square. Place the bundles beside your
recycling bin
