SOUTH CENTRAL ALCOHOL TASK FORCE
 

Welcome to the South Central Alcohol Task Force!


The South Central Alcohol Task Force is comprised of the Davison, Miner and Aurora County Sheriff's Offices and the Mitchell Police Division. 

Goal:
  Reduce alcohol sales to minors through compliance checks of liquor license holders in the jurisdiction of the Task Force.

Certified Alcohol Seller Training (CAST) Class

The South Central Alcohol Task Force offers a monthly Certified Alcohol Seller Training (CAST) Class.  The class is held in the training room at the south end of the Mitchell Department of Public Safety building at 201 W. 1st Avenue.  (Please park in the City parking lot ½ block east of the building).

This class is recommended for your employees who will be selling alcoholic beverages at your place of business who are at least 18 years old and has three main goals:

  1. Educating your employees on the laws of alcohol beverage sales.
  2. Ensuring that your employees follow these laws during every alcohol beverage sale.
  3. Dealing with customers who are trying to buy alcoholic beverages illegally.

The cost for attending the class and materials is $12.00 per employee. This fee needs to be brought to the class on the night your employee(s) will be attending.  Acceptable forms of payment are as follows:  business check, personal check, money order, or cash.  If paying in cash please send the exact amount.  If paying by check or money order, make check or money order payable to:  City of Mitchell.

Please notify the Mitchell Police Division at 995-8400 at least 2 days prior to the class to pre-register.  All attendees MUST be pre-registered through dispatch in order to attend the class.  Also, there is no admittance into the training room after 7:00 pm.  Class size is limited to 30 people.
