Suspect Apprehended For The September 16, 2008 Walmart Bomb
Threat & CorTrust Bank Robbery

Kenneth
Charles Edward age 27, date of birth March 17, 1981, has been
apprehended and charged with the September 16, 2008 Walmart bomb
threat; and with the September 16, 2008 CorTrust Bank robbery in
Mitchell, S.D.
On October 9, 2008 the Mitchell Police Division,
along with FBI,the South Dakota Division of Criminal
Investigation and the Davison County Sheriff’s Office executed a
search warrant at Edward's residence, located at 1105 East 1st
#2 in Mitchell, SD. Edward was apprehended at that time.
Evidence related to the CorTrust Bank Robbery was found during
the execution of the search warrant.
Kenneth Charles Edward has been charged with 1st
Degree Robbery a Class 2 Felony punishable by a maximum sentence
of 25 years imprisonment and a $50,000 fine. Edward was also
charged with reporting a false bomb threat a Class 6 Felony
punishable by a maximum sentence of two years imprisonment and
$2,000 fine.
