Picnic Shelters

2010 Picnic Shelter Reservations
Call 995-8450. Ask for Angel or Marilyn

Shelters can be reserved in advance for picnics, or family reunions. We accept reservations for the following year beginning Sept. 1st, a deposit is required. Look below for information on all shelters available for rent, including large-group facilities at Lake Mitchell.

Day shift - 10:00am-4:00pm, Evening shift of 5:00pm-11:00pm.

Patton Young Park Enclosed Shelter
An enclosed shelter with kitchenette area (refrigerator, stove, sink) and seating area for 50 people. The outdoor patio area is also included. Location: 1100 block West Cedar Fee per session: $55.00 with a matching clean-up/damage deposit. Fees are due when reservation is made.

Hitchcock Park Enclosed Shelter
An enclosed shelter with refrigerator, stove, sink and seating for 50 people. The outdoor patio area is also included. Location: 1201 East Hanson. Fee per session: $55.00 with a matching clean-up/damage deposit. Fees are due when reservation is made.

Hitchcock Park North Shelter or Hitchcock Park South Shelter or SW Shelter
Open shelters with seating for 60 people plus grassy areas. North and South Shelters have electricity. Location: 1201 East Hanson. Fee is due at time of reservation. Fee per session: $25.00

Pioneer Park
Open Shelter with seating for 60 people plus grassy areas. Electricity provided. Location: South Rowley & Andrews Street. Fee is due at time of reservation. Fee per session: $25.00

Munroe Park Enclosed Shelter
The indoor shelter at Munroe Park is available for group rentals. Indoor seating for 24, with indoor restrooms and an outdoor patio. Fee is due at time of reservation. Fee per day: $25.00

Kiwanis Woodlot at Lake Mitchell
An open shelter with seating for 20 - 30 people. There is no electricity. Fee is due at time of reservation. Fee per session: $25.00

Northridge Park Shelter
Open shelters with seating for 30 people. No electricity or running water. Address - East 11th & North Capital Fee is due at time of reservation. Fee per session: $20.00

Kibbee Park Shelter
Open shelter on Lake Mitchell's northeast side, next to a fishing dock and playground area. Address: North Harmon Drive & Hwy 37 Fee is due at time of reservation. Fee per session: $20.00

Monroe/Trode Garden-Gazebo
Outdoor Gazebo with flower garden is an idea place for an outdoor wedding. Located in Hitchcock Park. Electricity provided. Fee is $25.00 per shift or $50.00 for the whole day due at time of reservation. Shifts run 9am-12:00noon; 1pm-4pm;5pm-8pm

Lake Mitchell Day Camp
The Lake Mitchell Day Camp is located on Indian Village Road. A grassy picnic area with hard-surface basketball court, sandlot volleyball court, playground equipment, a gazebo, and a sandy beach area to enjoy! The historic lodge has seating for 75 people, a kitchen area with refrigerator, sink & stove, and new restrooms.

Fee per day : Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays $105.00 Weekdays: $65.00
A matching clean-up/damage deposit is required.

Lake Mitchell Sportsman Club
The Lake Mitchell Sportsmen’s Club is located on Indian Village Road. This beautifully renovated facility includes a large indoor area for meetings or group dining, new restrooms, a kitchenette with sink, stove and refrigerator, tables and chairs to seat 75, and plenty of glass windows to bring in the sunshine and let you enjoy the wonderful view! A large grassy outdoor area is located behind the facility, and included in your rental.
