Individual Plot Size:
10 feet by 20 feet including 18 inch buffer from adjoining plots.

Fee: $25.00 per site on
a first come first serve basis with Golf/Cemetery Department Staff
reserving the right to assign available spaces.

Preparation: plots will
be provided (tilled) at the appropriate time in the Spring (weather
dependant) by the Golf/Cemetery Department Staff in time for
planting.

Water: Water will be
provided. Renter to provide additional hose if needed to reach their
plot. A watering station will positioned in the center of the
plot. Water should be applied to your rented space. No unattended
watering.

Tall corn or vine plants
should be planted in the middle of your space.
|
| 6. |
Fertilization/Weed Control:
the use of herbicides are prohibited. Weeds are to be removed by
hand pulling or hoeing. Fertilizers and insecticides can only be
applied to your individual plot. Weeds and debris to be put in
dumpsters. Do Not Leave Tools Or Debris Laying On Ground Or In
Walkways!

Renters are to keep their
plots weed free and neat appearing. Unsightly plots can be tilled
under by the Staff should they become a nuisance. One courtesy call
will be given and if the plot is not cleared up within five days it
will be eliminated.

All crops must be harvested
and plant residue disposed of by the second week end in October.
A dumpster is provided for disposal of weeds and residue.

| 9. |
Renters are to take care of
their own plots. The employees of the City Golf /Cemetery
Departments are there ton assist if there is a problem with YOUR
Plot. However, renters must be considerate of the Employees and
other Gardeners time and not be a nuisance requiring special or
repeated attention.

The Maintenance Shop, tools
and equipment are off limits to Garden Space Renters. Restrooms are
provided in the office and Shop area for renters. A water fountain
and pop machine are located in the Shop for your convenience. Water
from the hydrant is treated and drinkable. The City of Mitchell is
not responsible for the theft of unattended tools or personal
belongings left at site.

No pets allowed inside garden
area or running loose on property.

| 12. |
Sign up will be handled by the
lf Course and Cemetery Staff at the Office or by phoning
605-995-8461 or 605-995-8463. Checks to be made payable to the City
of Mitchell and you will be given a receipt for any payment made.

| 13. |
Tree chips will be provided
for use mulch. No grass clippings can be brought onto the site by
anyone at any time.

| 14. |
Gardening is not rocket
science. Information on proper gardening techniques are available
through our local County Extension Office or on the Internet. |
