1.

Tour de Corn Committee Requests Street / Parking Lot Closures

The Tour de Corn Committee would like to block off the west portion of the City Hall parking lot and adjacent street/block, in the 100blk of East 7th on August 19th, 2017 from 6:00am to 10:00am for registration and start of ride.
2.

Corn Palace Festival Committee Requests Street / Parking Lot Closures

The Corn Palace Festival Committee is requesting the following street and parking lot closures for Corn Palace Festival: North Main Street and a half block each direction from 1st to 7th on Tuesday, August 22nd at 4:30am to Monday, August 28th at 4:30am. Closure of the west half of City Hall Parking lot from 4:30am on Tuesday August 22nd to 4:30am on Monday, August 28th. Closure of the 5th and Main Parking lot on Tuesday, August 22nd at 4:30am to Monday, August 28th at noon. Allowing overnight camping in the Disco Lot (800 N. Lawler) for carnival company workers.

Mitchell Convention & Visitors Bureau Requests Street Closure

The Mitchell Convention & Visitors Bureau requests to close the 600blk N. Main (7th - 6th) from 4:30am to 5:00pm for the annual Sturgis Biker event, August 3rd & 4th, 2017.
4.

Request For Street Closures For City of Mitchell's Veteran's Park Dedication Ceremony

Request to close the 100blk N. Main and the 100blk of West 1st on Saturday, September 9th, 2017 from 4:30am to 2:00pm for the City of Mitchell's Veteran's Park Dedication Ceremony.
5.

Request For "No Parking" Space

Request for a "No Parking" space on Pheasant Street near 23rd Ave. The parking space would be the first spot on the east side of the road in front of an advertising sign.
6.

Request For Restricted Parking And Handicap Parking

Request for restricted parking and handicap parking in the 600blk N. Main St.:

- Request for one, 15 Minute Parking, 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday space in front of the City Hall entry on the east side of the street in the 600blk of N. Main St. and three Handicap Parking spaces directly to the north of the restricted space.

The next Traffic Commission meeting is scheduled for Monday, August 21st, 2017.  The time will be announced at a later date.

Committee meeting agendas are scheduled based on an estimated time of completion. If a meeting concludes prior to its scheduled time the next committee may start its proceedings early.

The City of Mitchell invites all parties to give oral or written comments. If special accommodations are required, please notify the Public Safety Department at 995-8400 at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled meeting.
