The James Valley Community Center (JVCC) is a City of Mitchell facility dedicated to the enjoyment of the senior population for Mitchell's and surrounding community citizens. The JVCC also houses the city offices of Palace Transit, RSVP, and Senior Meals.
There are a variety of recreational organized senior-oriented programs available, such as:
Arts and crafts
Shuffle board and much more
Any person who has reached 50 years of age may become a member and participate in activities held at the JVCC by simply filling out the Membership Form and paying the yearly dues. The option to become a lifetime member is also available.

Note: All Non-Members must pay $1 each time he/she participates in a JVCC activity (excluding Bingo).
Lunch & Transportation
The JVCC also offers a daily Lunch Nutrition Program and Transportation to and from the center. Note: You do not need to be a member of the JVCC to participate in the Nutrition or Transportation programs.
