Mission


The mission of the Mitchell Public Library and its Board of Trustees is to assist its patrons in their pursuit of lifelong learning by providing equal access to informational, cultural, educational and recreational materials in a variety of formats.

Book Sale


Book sale items are received through community donations and/or library discards. The Mitchell Public Library now has a book sale room that patrons can access anytime the library is open. Proceeds from the book sale are used for children and teen programs at the Library. The public can drop off books anytime the Library is open. All books must be in clean and usable condition.

  • Children's Area - Author of the Week: Norman Bridwell known for "Clifford." Also check out all of the games, toys and coloring pages!
  • East Reading Area - Area newspapers available!

  • Teen Room - Computers are available in the teen room for use!
