Welcome to Mitchell !
I thank you for visiting the official website of Mitchell, S.D.  Mitchell is home of the World's Only Corn Palace.  The Corn Palace is just one of the many attractions in our wonderful city.  The Prehistoric Indian Village, Dakota Discovery Museum, Lake Mitchell, the Dakota Wesleyan University campus which houses the George McGovern Library, and the many unique Main Street Shops are just waiting for you to visit.

City Council
The Mitchell City Council meets the first and third Monday's of each month. City Council  meetings begin at 7:30 pm in the council chambers at City Hall, 612 N. Main.   

Individuals with disabilities who require special assistance to take part in this meeting may contact one of the following with requests for assistance:
